Seattle, WA – April 24, 2024 - On April 20, 2024, gubernatorial candidate Bob Ferguson took to Twitter to tout his legislative accomplishments, claiming to have developed numerous laws in partnership with Republican sponsors. In response, EL'ona Kearney, also vying for the governorship, criticized Ferguson's approach, accusing him of partisan posturing and insincerity in addressing critical issues affecting veterans and survivors of human trafficking.
"What’s happening with veterans (which I am), human trafficking, or anything you list in a partisan as if you are a Uniter. You’re posturing and I call Cap," remarked Kearney in her response. She expressed FERGstration with Bob's sudden emphasis on veterans' issues during election season, highlighting his lack of understanding of the challenges faced by veterans firsthand.
As a veteran herself, Kearney understands the shortcomings of the Veteran’s Administration and the healthcare system in providing quality care to those who have served their country. She believes that Ferguson's sudden interest in veterans' issues rings hollow, given his decade political career and being the attorney general without adequate attention to these issues.
